What actually makes a brand feel premium

Ask someone why a brand feels expensive and they will point at the logo. But the logo is rarely the reason. Premium is felt in the spaces between the elements — the restraint, the rhythm, the confidence to leave things out.

Restraint over decoration

Cheap brands add. Premium brands remove. Generous whitespace, one disciplined accent colour, and typography that is allowed to breathe will read as more expensive than any amount of gradients and effects.

Consistency is the luxury

The real signal of a premium brand is that every touchpoint feels like it came from the same hand. That consistency is hard, deliberate work — and it is exactly what people are paying for.
